New York: Brooklyn Bridge - Footpath and Brooklyn Bridge Park
Die Brooklyn Bridge wurde 1883 fertig gestellt und war damals die älteste Hängebrücke der USA. Sie überspannt den East River und verbindet die Stadtteile Manhattan und Brooklyn miteinander.
Der Bau dauerte 14 Jahre und ist heute eines der Wahrzeichen der Stadt New York. Als „Sehnsuchtsbrücke“ in das Herz von Manhattan symbolisiert sie den Traum von einem besseren Leben.
Auf der Brooklyn-Seite entstand 2009 der Brooklyn Bridge Park der bei Tag und bei Nacht eine wunderschöne Aussicht auf die Skyline von Manhattan bietet.
